Slow Down Tip #2 - Be Present

Here it is ... the hardest thing to do when you've got a list of things to do and not enough time to do them ... ready for it ... BE PRESENT.

The first thing to go out the window for me is this, if I'm honest. When I've got too much on my plate, I'm always looking at the clock, thinking about the next appointment, planning the next event, instead of being present with people and in the situation. If I can save you the heartache and pain now ... listen to that still small voice inside of you saying "stop ... slow down ... smell the tulips." 

Tip to Slow Down #2 - Be present. It’s not enough to just slow down — you need to actually be mindful of whatever you’re doing at the moment. That means, when you find yourself thinking about something you need to do, or something that’s already happened, or something that might happen … gently bring yourself back to the present moment. Focus on what’s going on right now. On your actions, on your environment, on others around you. This takes practice but is essential.
